Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You will help keep vehicles safe and on the road, while learning Penske's maintenance processes from experienced supervisors.

You’ll receive industry certified training, work with cutting-edge technology, and have the chance to grow your career in a supportive environment. The schedule includes Sundays 6:00am–2:30pm and Mondays–Thursdays 2:00pm–10:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player and able to work outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (tires, lubrication, components) and some electrical/cooling work.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills through Penske training with supervision.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
