Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfortable using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske instructions, rules and safety policies.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies must be followed; ready for drug tests and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools and tech to log, research, and complete repairs, incl. basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands‑on coaching with your supervisor.
• Support other projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
