Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently on major and minor repairs, run road tests, and mentor junior technicians while expanding your skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using tools of the trade (diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools) required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel system components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/Technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
