Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a mechanically inclined Technician in White Deer, PA. You will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and use our diagnostic tools to keep diesel and gas engines in top condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical cert in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license; ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and outdoors; comply with DOT/OSHA safety policies.
• DOT/FMCSA requirements for drivers; safety-sensitive role; drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools/technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills with manager via Penske training and coaching.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
