Job summary

Penske Technician role located at Waterbury, CT involves preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log repairs with Penske tools, perform basic diagnostics, and work with seniors to learn new skills in a safety‑driven environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in automotive or diesel repair, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work a Tue-Fri 3:00pm-11:30pm shift with Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm. Penske offers solid training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license; ability to use tools and solve problems
• DOT/OSHA safety policies compliance and proper PPE use

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies; basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication/ replacements on gas and diesel engines
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Collaborate with supervisor on other projects and tasks as assigned
