Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Jackson, MS is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of OEM equipment. You will diagnose issues, run tests, and complete maintenance tasks while mentoring newer technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Ace certification such as ASE 608/609 is preferred and CDL may be required.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Utilize Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learn through Penske technician training and mentor others as needed.
