Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician in Jackson, MS to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log work, diagnose basic issues, and complete tasks to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Working with experienced mentors, you’ll receive hands-on coaching and enterprise‑level training to advance your career, with excellent benefits and schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to use Penske tools safely.
• Ability to follow DOT/OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics using Penske tools.
• Assist with tire rotation, lubrication, and minor component replacements.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Collaborate with supervisor on additional projects as assigned.
