Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components and ASE/608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and various tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and communicate well.
• Customer service skills and teamwork are important.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and certifications.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
