Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician II to maintain and repair a diverse fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete major and minor repairs while mentoring teammates.

The role emphasizes safety, training, and using Penske technology to log and complete work. You will work in a fast-paced shop environment with opportunities for growth, robust benefits, and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components; ASE and CDL/DOT familiarity desired.
Experience using diagnostic equipment and shop tools; valid driver’s license required.
Ability to work in DOT-regulated environment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
Keeping the work area clean and safe.
Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training.
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
