Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet.

You will work independently on major and minor repairs, run diagnostics, and mentor newer technicians while growing your own skills with our training programs. Qualified applicants have a background in vehicle maintenance, ASE or related certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components and ASE 608/609 preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe; use Penske tools and diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned.
