Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level at 4139 S Creek Rd, Chattanooga, TN. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, learn Penske’s maintenance processes, and grow with hands-on coaching from experienced technicians.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical aptitude and are willing to learn, with a stable career mindset and commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance: tires, lubrication, some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
