Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently, diagnose issues, and complete maintenance tasks to keep vehicles on the road.

You will train and mentor others, learn Penske's maintenance processes, and use advanced diagnostic tools. Penske emphasizes safety, reliability, and career growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ASE certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to comply with DOT/OSHA safety policies.
• Experience diagnosing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance and road tests to diagnose issues.
• Repair components including engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Log and research repairs using Penske tools and technologies.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Support other projects as assigned.
