Job summary

Penske is seeking a skilled Technician in Halethorpe, MD. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of vehicles and help keep customers on the road.

You will learn Penske's maintenance processes and use advanced diagnostics while receiving industry-certified training to advance your career. The role offers 2nd and 3rd shift premiums and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• The associate will understand and comply with Penske management instructions and safety policies.
• DOT/OSHA and Penske safety compliance; driver qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned by supervisor.
