Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies (DOT/OSHA compliant).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure safety of vehicles for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
