Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in the US-NC Garner area is hiring a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske’s tools to diagnose and complete repairs, with strong emphasis on safety and reliability, while learning through our technician training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and some electrical/cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills via technician training and hands-on coaching with your manager.
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
