Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician I in Garner, NC. You will lead by example, perform major and minor repairs, and conduct road tests to diagnose problems while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and ASE certification preferred.
• Experience using welding equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/technologies to log, research, and complete repairs with diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
