Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues and assist with roadside services. You will work with customers and drivers across locations, performing preventative maintenance and maintaining safe, clean facilities.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, working in varying temperatures, and a rotating day/night schedule. DOT medical card may be obtained with Love’s support.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshoooting and repairing light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to move and lift 75+ pounds in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Safety and customer satisfaction come first, following company policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
