Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Bronx, NY is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet. You will use Penske tools, log and research repairs, and participate in hands-on coaching through our Technician Certification Program.

We value a high school diploma or technical certification, plus 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and outdoors.
• Understand and follow Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Collaborate with supervisor on other tasks as assigned.
