Job summary

Republic Services in Yorktown, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician B for the 2nd shift. Under supervision, you will repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, HVAC, suspension, and drive train. Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance on a state-of-the-art fleet to keep drivers on the road.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in technician roles, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues across diesel and gasoline equipment.
• Understand and apply work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-8 trucks or similar machinery.
• Graduate from an accredited automotive program within 3 months is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
• Perform chassis, suspension, drive train, brakes, electrical, and HVAC work.
• Conduct basic line welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provide on-site road service and on-call support when required.
• Follow company training programs and safety rules.
