Job summary

Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, part of Lithia & Driveway, seeks a Diesel Technician who takes pride in engine work and delivering quality repairs. Earn based on production with flat-rate pay and benefit from Ford factory training and tools provided to support your success.

You'll diagnose diesel engines, perform repairs per repair orders, road-test vehicles, and document results. ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, 18+ years old.
• Diesel experience strongly preferred.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose diesel engine malfunctions and determine root causes.
• Road-test vehicles to verify quality and completeness of repairs.
• Document work performed, test results, and time according to procedures.
• Maintain an inventory of required hand and power tools.
