Republic Services seeks motivated individuals for the Diesel Technician Apprentice-Paid Training program. The two-year apprenticeship combines nine weeks of paid training at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas, with twenty-two months of on-the-job training, mentorship, and coursework toward an Apprentice certification as a diesel mechanic.

• Will train as Technician Apprentice over two years with on-the-job learning and mentorship.
• Program starts with 9 weeks of in-class training at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, TX.
• Followed by 22 months of on-the-job training toward Apprentice certification as a Republic Services Diesel Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
• Learn electrical diagnosis of starting & charging systems and hydraulics components.
• Gain hands-on experience with wheel ends, air systems, and air brakes during training.
