Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Technician Apprenticeship to train entry-level technicians over two years, with hands-on shop work and structured instruction. You will begin with nine weeks of paid training at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, TX, followed by twenty-two months of on-the-job training across the country.

Successful graduates are eligible for placement as a Republic Services technician.

Qualifications

• Be committed to completing the two-year apprenticeship program.
• Demonstrate an interest in engineering and technology.
• Willingness to travel to Dallas, TX for 9 weeks of in-person training.
• Flexible schedule including some nights, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete two-year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Receive supervision from Fleet Maintenance Supervisors/Managers.
• Participate in Republic Preventive Maintenance Program and on‑the‑job training.
• Develop basic skills in tire work, wheel-end components, hydraulics, electrical systems, and general vehicle maintenance.
