Job summary

Republic Services is seeking candidates for its Technician Apprenticeship program. Over two years, entrants will be trained in diesel and non-diesel vehicle maintenance, starting with nine weeks of training at the Technical Institute in Dallas, TX, followed by extensive on-the-job training nationwide.

Apprentices will develop skills in electrical diagnosis, air conditioning, hydraulics, wheel-end and air system components, with a path to a Level C Technician; a dedicated mentor will support

Qualifications

• Training spans two years with on-the-job and classroom components.
• Willingness to travel to Dallas, TX for 9 weeks of in-person training.
• Flexibility to work some nights, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
• Gain on-the-job experience and mentorship through Republic Services Technical Institute.
• Support entry-level technician training and development during apprenticeship.
