Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Technician Apprentice to train as a diesel technician over a two-year program. The initial nine weeks of paid training take place at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, TX, followed by twenty-two months of on-the-job training with mentorship and classroom content.

During the apprenticeship you will learn electrical diagnosis, air conditioning, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance while earning while you learn.

Qualifications

• Two-year program with on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
• Must be committed to completing the two-year program.
• Willingness to travel to Dallas, TX for nine weeks of in-person training.
• Interest in engineering and technology; logical problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training at a Republic Services shop.
• Learn troubleshooting of electrical, air, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Receive mentorship and complete milestones toward Apprentice certification.
• Advance through technician levels based on progress and milestones.
