Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety policies; DOT/OSHA compliance experience helpful.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, and component replacement on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske's training and coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
