Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A in Georgia to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, and driveline systems. The role offers growth, structured training, and the chance to support drivers across a modern fleet.

You will diagnose complex multi-system issues with advanced tools, perform on-site repairs, and follow safety standards; a CDL-B and ASE credentials are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some heavy truck systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems; performs complex repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies with control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
