Job summary
Hirschbach in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair our fleet, focusing on Freightliner trucks with support from Kenworth and International models. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and air conditioning while documenting all work and parts used.
Strong candidates have 1–2 years in fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduation, plus a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years' experience in fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduate
- Valid driver's license
- Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler) are a plus
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair our fleet — Freightliner plus Kenworth and Internationals
- Perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering, after-treatment service, charging systems, and A/C
- Accurately record repairs, parts use, and warranty details
- Follow safety and quality standards in every job
- Communicate clearly with drivers and fleet management
- Stay sharp with ongoing training in diesel technology tools
- Collaborate with teammates to solve problems
- Take on other duties as assigned
