Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking a Tractor Technician to service our fleet from the shop location. You will diagnose and repair Freightliner, Kenworth and International trucks, perform preventive maintenance, and use diesel diagnostics tools.

The job offers a dedicated company service truck, day schedule Wednesday–Saturday, local shifts with no overnight stays, and a strong benefits package. We value hands-on technicians with Class 8 experience, welding skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' fleet maintenance experience or technical school degree.
• Experience with Class 8 repair, maintenance and diagnostics.
• Welding experience with varied materials.
• Basic computer skills for diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair the fleet, primarily Freightliner trucks, plus Kenworth and Internationals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and electrical work, air brakes, suspensions, after-treatment, charging systems, and A/C.
• Record repairs, parts usage, and warranty details accurately.
• Follow safety and quality standards in every job.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and fleet management.
• Maintain knowledge with ongoing diesel technology training.
• Collaborate with teammates to solve problems.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
