Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines, LLC in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Diesel/Trailer Technician to diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document repairs in company systems. You’ll identify repairs, weld when needed, and handle related duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
Experience diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools. Training provided.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
Identify and classify repairs: preventative maintenance, component failure, brake components, dolly legs, panels, doors and related hardware.
Record parts, materials, and repairs details using company systems.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
