Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Temple, TX is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to service medium and heavy-duty trucks and refrigeration units. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance under supervision, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with regulations.

Join a team that values safety, efficiency, and training as you perform diagnostics, install onboard computers, and document all repairs in our Enterprise Asset Management system. Road-call work is part of the role.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
5-7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
Documentation of repairs and PMs in the system.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on fleet diesel equipment and components.
Inspect brakes, steering, bearings, and related parts for proper operation.
Ensure roadworthiness licensing and registration prior to use.
Document work orders and repairs in the online system.
Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
Use hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
Train other employees and perform road-call service as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
