Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL CLASS A, preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance and diagnoses standard mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identify root cause and perform repairs; replace defective components as instructed.
• Perform facility maintenance and interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Utilize Shop Management System and comply with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Support operations with additional duties as needed.
