Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Huntington, West Virginia, offering weekly pay and extensive benefits. The role requires performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools.

Earn an hourly wage of $26.68 with a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, and paid training. Eligible veterans and top tech bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary training preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and documents work performed.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines.
