Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Harrisonburg, VA, offering $26.00 per hour with a second shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) and a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
