Job summary

PITT OHIO is hiring a Diesel Technician for the 2nd shift at our Grove City, OH location. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• CDL, ASE and State/Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required.
• Command of English to communicate with customers.
• Knowledge of repair methods for heavy trucks and semi-trailers.
• Basic hand tools are required.
• Computer skills needed for diagnostics.
• Consent to use driver-facing event recorders for safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet components.
• Inform management of unsafe conditions and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate work orders and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
• Plan work using manuals and experience.
• Enter labor and parts into repair orders system.
• Travel to other shop locations as needed.
