Job summary

Transervice Logistics is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician for a Monday–Friday, 2nd shift (6 PM–2 AM) position in Ohio. Earn up to $40/hour depending on experience and ASE certifications. Weekend off, promote from within, and benefits include free health care paid by Transervice.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, engine/transmission repairs, PM inspections, DOT-compliant safety checks, and maintenance for tractors, trailers, and MHE. ASE certifications enhance growth potential.

Qualifications

Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Basic math skills.
Computer proficiency with MS Office and TMT.
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Maintain proficiency in diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment.
Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
Perform system repairs including engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and DOT-mandated safety inspections.
Complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
Duties on tractors, trailers, and MHE.
