Job summary

PITT OHIO is seeking a Diesel Technician for the 2nd shift at our Phoenixville, PA location. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet equipment, ensuring safety and compliance while documenting work orders and tool status.

The role requires experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines, a valid license, and a DOT physical. We offer strong benefits, training, and opportunities for advancement within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a related technical degree/cert.
Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass DOT physical and drug test.
CDL, ASE and state/federal inspection certs preferred but not required.
Must communicate effectively in English and have basic tools.
Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy trucks.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly.
Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly.
Informs management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful conditions, and unsafe practices; suggests corrective actions.
Identifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies; assists in solving issues.
Completes work orders and documents; maintains clean, safe work environment.
