Job summary

PITT OHIO is hiring a Diesel Technician for the 1st shift at our Cincinnati, OH location. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet equipment, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Base pay ranges from $30.13 to $35.13 per hour, plus earned bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with one verifiable experience.
• A valid state-issued driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• CDL, ASE and inspections certifications are preferred but not required.
• Good command of English for clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, heavy trucks and trailer systems.
• Basic hand tools and ability to document time and parts used on work orders.
• Proficient with diagnostics and computer-based maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds components.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and safety protocols.
• Documents work orders with time and parts accurately.
• Performs preventive maintenance and general overhaul tasks.
• Communicates findings to management and supports corrective actions.
