Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician for 2nd shift (start time 3pm) in Yorktown, VA. You’ll diagnose multi-system issues, repair diesel and non-diesel trucks, and maintain various subsystems including brakes, HVAC, suspension and drive train.

The role requires 3-5 years of technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and a preference for ASE certifications; CDL is a plus. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Familiarity with Class 1-8 trucks and service procedures.
• ASE certifications a plus but not required; CDL a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment.
• Repair chassis components, bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems and brakes.
• Conduct light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain and HVAC work.
• Provide road service as needed and ensure safety of equipment.
• Complete company training and keep accurate maintenance records.
