Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, and drive train components. You will work under supervision and support drivers with state-of-the-art fleet maintenance.

The role emphasizes diagnosing multi-system issues, performing on-site repairs, and adhering to company training programs. A CDL and LNG/CNG experience are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some heavy truck systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; engine and fuel system diagnostics; HVAC and aftertreatment diagnostics.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools; line maintenance, welding, and fabrication; complete required training.
