Job summary

Penske in East Windsor, CT is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, helping customers keep vehicles on the road. You’ll use Penske tools and tech to diagnose and service gas and diesel engines, with training along the way.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive Penske and customer vehicles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety policies (DOT/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as tires, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas/diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s training and coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
