Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is hiring a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet at our West Haven location. You’ll log and diagnose using Penske tools while staying focused on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance repairs and component lubrication/replacement, some electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via technician training and hands‑on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
