Job summary

DeVivo Companies in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time 2nd shift (Noon–8 PM) technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium and heavy-duty vehicles. You will diagnose, service, and document work orders while communicating with teammates and supervisors.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of automotive repair experience, a high school diploma or technical training, and a valid driver's license; NYS inspector certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• High school diploma or technical school or equivalent.
• Own and maintain proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Proficient with computer operation/usage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members and customers.
• Remain current on technical and regulatory requirements.
• Perform road service calls as required.
