Miles Truck Services, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to maintain uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics and quality repairs on diesel equipment. This hands-on role values teamwork, reliability and opportunities for professional growth.

You will perform preventive maintenance on heavyduty trucks and trailers, diagnose engine and brake issues, conduct DOT inspections, and document repairs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diesel maintenance experience preferred in fleet, dealership, or shop settings.
• Able to diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols.
• ASE T-Series certifications (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavyduty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred (fleet, dealership, independent, or light mechanical shop)
• Mobile experience preferred, but not required for a shop technician
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
