Miles Truck Services in Indiana is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to support fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality repairs on diesel equipment. This hands-on role offers growth and a stable career with a trusted partner, True North Fleet Services.

You will work with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership, performing PMs, diagnostics, DOT inspections, and documenting repairs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred.
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.

This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, quality repairs on diesel equipment and mobile fleet service. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred (fleet, dealership, independent, or light mechanical shop)
• Mobile experience preferred, but not required for a shop technician
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
