Job summary

Myles Truck Repair, in partnership with True North Fleet Services, seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to keep heavy trucks and trailers on the road. You will perform PMs, diagnose engines and systems, and ensure safety and compliance through accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, teamwork, and ongoing career development with access to Compass training and ASE support. Competitive hourly pay reflects experience and certifications, with a path toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience in a fleet, dealership, or independent shop environment preferred.
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic capabilities.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and DOT inspection requirements.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
• Complete DOT inspections and help ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Partner with drivers, service advisors, technicians, and shop leadership to keep work moving efficiently.

This position supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician who values quality, consistency, teamwork, and continued professional growth.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
