Job summary

Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to join our team to support future growth of the Company. The Shop Diesel Technician II can perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs under the supervision of a Sr Shop Diesel Technician or higher.

The role emphasizes safety, productivity, and learning advanced mechanical skills while documenting work on repair orders and using Karmak for record-keeping. This position offers growth opportunities within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years' related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools and complete required trainings.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical as required.
• 21+ years old; valid CDL-A and Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance on trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, and service light to heavy-duty vehicles in shop.
• Prepare repair orders and upload photos using Karmak.
• Coordinate with Service Writer and Parts to obtain needed parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
