Job summary

Cox Fleet in Indianapolis is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs on trucks and trailers. This role performs diagnostics and follows safety procedures in a Cox on-site shop environment.

You will work a day shift with no remote option and must meet a HS diploma/GED plus 3 years of related experience; ASE certifications are preferred. Cox Fleet offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination as described in the job posting.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct light mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics and repairs as directed.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings in Repair Orders and appropriate systems.
