Cox Fleet in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Shop Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers. The role includes diagnostics, safety-focused work, and occasional travel to customer sites under supervision of senior technicians.

The successful candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of related field experience (or a 5-year alternative), a valid driver's license, and a toolset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related field experience (or 5 years depending on combination)
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties

Responsabilités

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and Preventative Maintenance inspections
• Carry out light to heavy-duty repairs and diagnostics under supervision
• Document work performed and parts used on repair orders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to safety policies
• Travel to customer locations occasionally as needed
• Communicate with service writer to assess customer needs and approve repair estimates
• Follow company policies and contribute to high productivity and quality standards
• Complete required safety training and participate in ongoing skill development
