Job summary

Boss Shop is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform mechanical repairs with a focus on preventive maintenance and diagnostics. The role offers a clear path for growth and a robust training program to advance from Tech I to higher levels.

Core duties include diagnostics, repairs on engines, emissions, drivetrains, and HVAC, plus customer-facing service and safety compliance. A strong benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical and DOT training.
• Ability to obtain ASE, DOT and other certifications.
• DOT medical card required; HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, tire services and road service calls.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle service calls including night and on-call assignments.
• Use diagnostic platforms (J-Pro, FleetCross, OE software) to diagnose systems.
• Document labor, parts and warranty information in work orders.
• Perform engine, emissions, drivetrain, brake and HVAC repairs as needed.
