Job summary

Boss Shop is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform a full range of mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. You will work with J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems, and you’ll handle engines, emissions, drivetrains, brakes, and electrical components as needed.

The role requires valid driving license, ability to obtain ASE and DOT certifications, and willingness to work weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• Air Brake Certification required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• ASE certifications preferred; Shop Technician IV must obtain or maintain specific ASE certifications within one year of promotion.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
• Conducts DOT inspections and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Uses diagnostic platforms (J-Pro, FleetCross, OE software) to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Performs engine, fuel, exhaust, and drivetrain repairs; emissions and HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and safety; documents work orders and warranty information.
• Provides friendly, professional customer service and adheres to safety policies.
